An ADF families event: While You Were Away Journal - Hunter

Hunter ADF families - register to receive a "While You Were Away Journal".

PLEASE NOTE: This is not an in person activity, “While You Were Away Journals” will be mailed to the postal address provided.

This offer is only for Australian Defence Force families residing in the Hunter Region with an ADF member who is currently, or soon to be, absent from home.

Defence Member and Family Support (DMFS) recognises the challenges that military families face when loved ones are away. DMFS has created a keepsake for children to capture their memories and experiences during their parent or carer’s absence. Children can use the “While You Were Away Journal” to get creative and decorate the book, so they can share it with their loved one when they return home.

DMFS Hunter will send the journal to your preferred delivery address for use while the member is away from home.

There is a limit of one book per child. The “While You Were Away Journal” is most suitable for primary school-aged children.
